The terms “registered dietitian” (RD) and “nutritionist” are often used interchangeably, but there is a key difference between the two. A registered dietitian is a credentialed health professional who has met rigorous education, examination, and experience requirements. A nutritionist, on the other hand, is not a protected term and can be used by anyone, regardless of their education or qualifications. In general, it is best to see a registered dietitian for nutrition counseling. RDs have the education, training, and experience to provide evidence-based nutrition advice that can help you achieve your health goals.
Diabetes management nutrition counseling services are one-on-one sessions with a registered dietitian who specializes in diabetes. During these sessions, I will work with you to create a personalized nutrition plan that meets your individual needs and goals. The plan will be tailored to your type of diabetes, medications, lifestyle, and food preferences.
I am currently offering virtual nutrition counseling services exclusively to adults residing in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia who have been diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, high blood cholesterol, and/or obesity.
